MACLASSEVOYAGE IN NORMANDY OF THE IMPRESSIONISTS
Follow the path of Impressionist painters in Normandy.
Day 1 : GIVERNY
Morning
Departure from your country
Arrival at GIVERNY, the "so beautiful country" of Monet Promenade in the village and
especially in the street Claude Monet to discover the many galleries of paintings. Visit the House and gardens of Claude Monet.
Inside the house, you will discover, among others, its studio lounge, the dining room "all gilded by the sun", the blue living room and then the rooms of the painter, Alice, Blanche...
Then walk through the two gardens: the Norman enclosure and the water garden with the Japanese bridge and the famous nymphets.
Afternoon
Lunch taken away by the participants.
A guided tour of the Museum of Impressionism followed by a workshop to create a notebook of 3 or 4 paintings on the theme of landscape, garden and flowers, painted with fingers in the museum's garden.
Continuation towards Rouen
Installation at your accommodation Dinner and night at the
hostel.
Day 2 : ROUEN
Morning
After breakfast, guided tour of the city in the footsteps of the Impressionists including a visit to the Cathedral
You can be offered the privilege of accessing the 1st floor of the Tourist Office, in Claude Monet's former workshop. You can take your seat exactly where Claude Monet painted the Cathedral Series
At the end of the 19th century, the city of Rouen offered Claude Monet, Paul Gauguin, Camille Pissarro many motifs: the Seine, the Cathedral, the quays... Find the evocation of the city in their time: the south bank and factories, the Place de la Haute Vieille Tour and the Halles, the exhibition spaces; the workshops occupied by Claude Monet to paint the cathedral; patron François Depeaux. Walk in the footsteps of Impressionist painters and let yourself be invaded by the charm of the clouds of the Rouen sky, reflections of water on the Seine and variations of light on the façade of Notre Dame Cathedral.

Visit of the Museum of Fine Arts and its rich collection of Impressionist works
Departure on the Seine Valley to discover the village of La Bouille where twilight, ships and seines have been magnified by Turner, Pissarro, Sisley...
It is possible from Sahurs to take the ferry across the Seine and get to La Bouille, following in the footsteps of Sisley.
Another suggestion: a descent of the Seine aboard a boat from Rouen to la Bouille, this cruise allows the discovery of the most beautiful loops of the Seine, which inspired the great Impressionist painters. Running time: 1 hour and 30 hours. This ride can be commented on or not, at your convenience

Day 3 : Du Havre à Trouville-sur-mer via Honfleur
Morning
After breakfast, departing for Le Havre
Arrival in Le Havre, it is in this city, in 1872, that Claude Monet paints "impression, rising sun" and gives its name to Impressionism.
Guided tour of the Muma, André Malraux Museum of Modern Art, which hosts a splendid collection of Impressionist paintings
Stop at Sainte-Adresse beach to admire the view to the sea dear to Monet
Continuation towards Honfleur via the Normandy Bridge
Afternoon
Walk on the Old Basin or in the alleys of the Sainte Catherine district, made famous by Monet, Jongkind or Boudin.
Visit to the Eugene Boudin Museum nicknamed "the King of Heaven"
Depending on your time, depart for Trouville-sur-Mer, on the Fleurie Coast. Charming seaside resort honored by Claude Monet in the painting "La Plage in Trouville". Walk on the boards and discover its magnificent villas prized by the beautiful society of the time.
